Here’s a glimpse into a few of the Realms in For The King. So far there are 8 different realms all with a very unique feel and their own host of local Inhabitants, Weather, and points of interest. Each realm has several cities or towns you can discover to heal your wounds, grab a quest, stock up on supplies, and much more.
The first is Hasta, the capital of The Parched Waste.
The second is Oarton, a sleepy town in the middle of the Misty Forest. The shop prices may be a bit higher than in Hasta, but you don’t have to put up with the large population of criminals and swindlers that call Hasta home. On the other hand, it’s not unusual these days for Forest Trolls to wander into town and cause general mayhem.
The world is procedurally generate using a ton of crafted large hexes. Various Overworld places, Points Of Interest, dangerous terrain, Enemies, basically anything that makes an adventure awesome are then placed randomly on the mini hexes after the world is created. The result is a rich and unique world every playthrough.
